Lynch is a go for the Seahawks Sunday
By Nichole Jefferson Jan 16, 2016In response to a question about his status for the divisional round, Lynch texted ESPN's Kenny Mayne, "I'm Ready", which might be the most words he's shared with a member of the media in quite some time. And a week after deciding he wasn't ready to play and not joining his teammates in Minnesota, Lynch was one of the last players to step on the team bus on Friday afternoon at the team's headquarters as it left for the airport. He hasn't been a huge one in Seattle's five previous games against Carolina, and he hasn't played since undergoing abdominal surgery on November 25. He rehabbed away from the team in San Francisco before returning to practice in Seattle last week.
But Carroll said Lynch is ahead of where he was then. Carroll asked. "Not always do we know".
On Thursday night, Lynch made it clear that wasn't happening again. "He's somewhat unpredictable in certain ways".
Because of that last-minute decision - which came after Pete Carroll had told KIRO radio that he'd be playing - the Seahawks have been predictably much more conservative in their estimates this week, repeatedly saying they'll just go "day-to-day" with Lynch and see how it goes at game-time.
From there, many wondered if Lynch would be there for his Seahawks against the Carolina Panthers. "We'll figure that out as the game goes". Christine Michael is expected to remain involved, but isn't a major threat to his workload.
The only Seahawk in danger of sitting out Sunday is fullback Will Tukuafu (hamstring), who's doubtful.
Seattle also listed starting tight end Luke Willson as probable after he missed the past two games due to a concussion suffered in Week 16 against St. Louis. Otherwise, Carroll said, the Seahawks are as healthy as they have been in a long time.
"Pretty close, yeah. And how fortunate can we be?" "We're excited. We're loading up that plane and everybody's going and we're ready to go crank it up with all hands on deck".
Chargers fans fed up with stadium saga
Still, all parties were more concerned with the potential long-range benefits. "We weren't able to get it done for our fans in St. In the meantime, they're expected to play at USC's stadium, the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, according to CBS Sports .
