The new Surface, not to be confused with the Surface Pro, is one of Microsoft's latest tablets, and despite its low price-point, it's impressively capable.
That would bring Windows up to 10 percent of the tablet market by OS for 2015, compared with 22 percent for iOS-based iPads and 68 percent for Android-based tablets, according to Strategy Analytics' stats.

Another interesting addition to the Surface Pen is the eraser on its top. The pen has pressure sensors that provide a better control to users while drawing or writing on screen. The pen, updated from last year's model, doesn't need the multiple expensive batteries of its predecessor, operating on a single AAAA cell. Also, the pen features a programmable Bluetooth Application launch button that can be used to launch OneNote or any other Windows application.
He cited a recent Microsoft Asia-Pacific survey of 1,200 Asian youths under the age of 25 in 14 countries, including Australia, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Korea, which indicated that 15 percent of Asian millennials already have a 2-in-1 device, while 42 percent wished to get a new 2-in-1, tablet or laptop device during the holiday season.
There's plenty of computing power to be had. "But with the arrival of the iPad Pro, the launch of Windows 10, which is better suited for the 2-in-1 form factor, and the introduction of Intel's Skylake silicon, we expect a flurry of new devices to launch between now and December 2015". RAM choice is either 4GB or 8GB; internal SSD storage is from 128GB, followed by 256GB and 512GB. This isn't your old wimpy tablet!
Along the edges of Surface is a selection of some fantastic ports: headphone, full USB, micro-USB, and mini DisplayPort.

The 2-in-1 tablet also comes with a built-in kickstand that offers adjustability up to 150 degrees.
Except the Microsoft Mobiles division, Microsoft's run in the markets hasn't been that bad. Microsoft says the system can last up to nine hours playing videos. That, to me, is not enough for a tablet you want to carry all day.
The device is powered by Windows 10, and HP says it has "long battery life", although it fails to elaborate just how long that is.
First and foremost, you have to choose the Surface Pro 4 model to purchase. And Microsoft really needs to think about selling it with the Type keyboard/cover - that's a must-have accessory, and given the price of the tablet, it should be included. It is then $1,849.00 with 512 GB with Intel Core i7 and 1.7 GHz/8GB of RAM. If you're feeling flush, you can configure a Core i7 with 16 GB RAM and a 1 TB SSD for $3,499 (though it's not available yet - should you order it, you will be notified when it is).
With each iteration of Microsoft's Surface, the company comes closer to mastering the laptop/tablet hybrid product category it created back in 2012.
