Romney, Gingrich to ABC: Put Fiorina on stage

On the call, Fiorina argued that she over-performed Ohio Gov. John Kasich and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie in Iowa, and has more cash on hand than either of them, adding she is over-performing Ben Carson in Granite State polls. Don't be surprised to see Fiorina on stage by Saturday night, facing a couple of questions on issues important to conservatives from Mary Katharine.

Fiorina, a former tech executive, made her case to the RNC by comparing the strength of her campaign to her opponents.

Fiorina responded by thanking Cruz for the support.

Ted Cruz also called on ABC and the Republican National Committee to include Fiorina in the event, saying it would be a "mistake" for her to be excluded. ABC is applying a polling metric to limit the number of candidates on stage, even though only eight candidates remain in the race. Kelly Ayotte, who said, "ABC News' decision to exclude her from Saturday's debate on the eve of our primary, while she is outperforming one of the other debate participants in New Hampshire polls, undermines our role in the primary process, and I urge ABC to allow Ms. Fiorina to participate".

To participate in the ABC News debate, candidates must satisfy one of three requirements: place among the top three candidates in the Iowa caucuses, place among the top six in an average of New Hampshire polls or place among the top six in an average of national polls.

The former Hewlett-Packard CEO has attracted sympathy from high profile Republicans, including New Hampshire Sen.

"We beat Governors Christie and Kasich in Iowa this week when voters actually had their say", she said. We are already on the ballot in 32 states, and there is a ground game with paid staff in 12 states.

"There are only 8 candidates left".

She wrote a letter to the RNC Wednesday demanding she appear on the main stage. "I trust you will act appropriately". Yet, all of these candidates will be invited to the ABC debate.
