Palin eyes Department of Energy in a Trump administration

Trump, Cruz, and fellow Senator Marco Rubio are the only candidates in double-digits ahead of the first in the nation Iowa caucuses at the beginning of February.

Former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin endorsed Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump during a campaign rally in Ames, Iowa.

On the political front the coveted endorsement of Trump comes just 13 days before votes are cast in Iowa, the debut contest in the presidential primary race, and it could give a welcome boost to Trump, the current Republican frontrunner.

She said that, with Mr Trump as president, America would no longer apologise.

The Trump campaign noted that Palin has campaigned for many conservative candidates and claimed her "endorsement is amongst the most sought after and influential amongst Republicans".

In fact, she endorsed his 2012 senate run.

The senator seemed to take Palin's turnabout in stride, saying he "will always be a big fan" of hers "regardless of what she does in 2016".

Earlier in the night, Trump reminded his supports that even without Palin's support he is doing well in Iowa.

A conservative writer expressed exasperation that Palin would endorse a candidate with such anti-conservative policies. "Oh listen, I love Sarah Palin, Sarah Palin is fantastic", he said.

Palin wrapped up her comments by telling the crowd to picture the day that President Obama leaves the White House.

"I think she likes what she sees with in terms of what I'm talking about in trade", Trump said, mentioning China, Japan and Mexico, along with his position on the military and on behalf of veterans. The woman told police he was yelling "Do you think I won't do it?".

"An investigation revealed Track Palin had committed a domestic violence assault on a female, interfered with her ability to report a crime of domestic violence and possessed a firearm while intoxicated", the statement said.

And now, along with the stamp of disapproval from Iowa's governor, Cruz is faced with the realization that the man trailing him in most Iowa polls is mounting one last surge with a Tea Party sweetheart by his side.

Palin is expected to attend two campaign events with Trump Wednesday in Iowa.

"Palin's brand among evangelicals is as gold as the faucets in Trump tower", said Ralph Reed, chairman of the Faith and Freedom Coalition, told the New York Times.

Track Palin (L), oldest son of Sarah Palin, a Republican vice presidential nominee, former Alaska governor and conservative megastar, during the Republican National Convention 2008 at the Xcel Energy Center in St Paul, Minnesota.

"He's heavily financed by Big Oil", Branstad said of Cruz, according to the Des Moines Register. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) has gained support and major endorsements.

The one thing I've learned in the five years I've been in this position is the separation between the two. Kiffin and Alabama coach Nick Saban said Kelly's visit had very little to do with the championship game.
